The Ghanaian Parliament has constituted an Ad Hoc Committee tasked with recommending an Auditor for the Office of the Auditor‑General for the financial year ending 31 December 2024. Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, Member of Parliament for Sefwi Wiawso, has been appointed Chairman of this committee.
The committee, which also includes Hon. Matthew Nyindam and Hon. Atta Issa as members, is mandated to oversee a transparent and credible audit process. In a statement, Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful expressed his honour in serving as Chairman, emphasizing the committee’s commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability, and due diligence in executing this important national assignment.
The appointment underscores Parliament’s focus on strengthening oversight of public financial management and ensuring the integrity of the Auditor‑General’s office.
