The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has applauded the Ministry of Health for its ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana, describing the health sector as “the heartbeat of every nation.”
The revered monarch made the remarks on Friday, July 24, 2026, when he received the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
In a brief address during the courtesy call, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II encouraged the Minister and his team to sustain their commitment to strengthening the country’s health system.
“Healthcare is the heartbeat of every nation. Keep up the good work,”the Asantehene said.
The Asantehene has consistently used his platform to advocate for key national priorities including health, education, and sanitation. His commendation comes at a time when the Ministry of Health is rolling out several initiatives aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare across the country.
