Official News Report | Eye on Western North Digital
Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful, MP for Sefwi Wiawso constituency in the Western north region has successfully rehabilitated the Bechewa Community Nurses’ Quarters through “MP’s common fund” which was abandoned by health personnel in 2024 due to severe snake infestation and poor living conditions.
The Quarters became too dilapidated that Nurses had no option but to vacate the place to protect themselves against snakes and other reptiles.
Through this intervention, the facility has been restored to a safe and habitable state, ensuring a secure environment for nurses to live and work comfortably. This effort forms part of Hon. Kofi Benteh Afful’s continued commitment to improving healthcare delivery and staff welfare across the Sefwi Wiawso Constituency.

The rehabilitation is expected to boost morale among health workers and enhance quality healthcare services for the people of Bechewa and surrounding communities.

GREAT Initiative, God bless Hon and the team …..What we expect from the individuals at the community is to work hand in hand with the Nurses and build up a friendly community as health and concern…
Make good impact of the facility and continue to serve everyone through health delivery…..KUDUS to team 👏🎉

That is a very remarkable initiative to retain health care workers in the community, the Municipality and the region as a whole. I will commend the Members of Parliament and encourage him to do more.
