The Western North Regional Coordinator of the National Apprenticeship Program (NYA), Mr. Jesse Yaw Aidoo has cautioned Master Craft Persons and apprentices who have received equipment under the National Apprenticeship Programme to make effective use of it. The NAP aims to equip young Ghanaians with practical skills to make them self-employed and employable.

The programme is part of the government’s initiative to reduce youth unemployment by providing technical and vocational training. Successful apprentices will receive certification, start-up capital, and equipment to establish their businesses.
The NAP Director Jesse Yaw Aidoo emphasized the importance of Master Craft Persons dedicating themselves to training apprentices, rather than exploiting them.

Apprentices are also urged to take their training seriously and appreciate the efforts of their mentors.
