S/Wiawso: DRIP Machines Makes Progress as 46.3Km Roads Rehabilitated

The Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive, Dominic Gyasi says District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) has made significant progress as 46.3km roads have been rehabilitated across the Municipality.

Addressing Assembly members during the Assembly Sitting on Thursday,29th April,2026 at the Municipal Assembly Hall, the MCE explained some local roads that has been upgraded including of 12km road through Nsuosua to Krobo, 7km road from Surinso to Tanoso,2 km road from penakrom to Futa,2km road from Abrabra to Sui,2km Amafie –Aboboya among others to improve accessibility to various communities emphasizing government commitment to ensure roads connectivity through the DRIP Machines.


Touching on Agriculture, Mr Gyasi highlighted how the” Feed Ghana” initiative is also significantly improving to boost food security and economic transformation across the Municipality. According to him, Assembly has taken measure to ensure distribution of farm input to farmers adding that extension service and farmer support has been intensified to enhanced food security.

He said, during the year under review,a total of 26 thousand,2 hundred and 67 hole farm visit was conducted covering 15 thousand,3 hundred and 54 maize farmers and 10 thousand,9 hundred and 13 females farmers as compared to 14 thousand,4 hundred and 62 visit in 2024.
