Bibiani, Nana Ackaah Osuaman III, Divisional Chief and Abusuapanin of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area, has urged Nana Abu Gyabeng, the new chief of Bibiani Newtown, to work with stakeholders to address the congestion in the area. The appeal was made during Nana Gyabeng’s coronation ceremony.
Nana Ackaah described the situation as “alarming,” affecting commuters, including educationists, traders, and businessmen. “The place is choked, delaying commuters such as educationists, traders, businessmen, miners, and others,” he said. He warned that if not addressed, it could escalate into something unheard of.

The new chief, a businessman and CEO of Koohan Hotel, Bibiani, promised to prioritize development projects, youth employment, and law and order in his jurisdiction. “My administration will be remembered for development projects, the employment of the youth, and the institution of law and order,” he pledged.
Nana Ackaah also emphasized unity, urging the community to support the new chief with constructive suggestions and criticisms. He advised Nana Gyabeng to act on evidence-based reports and follow due process. The youth were also admonished to desist from criminal activities like robbery, illicit drugs, and juvenile delinquency.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Nana Ebiri Kwaku, chief of Hwenampori, Nana Dwantoa, Gyasi NewLove Abusuapanin, Paa Kwesi Kwagyir, Assembly Member, and Queen mothers. Nana Gyabeng, known in private life as Koo Gyabeng, is a successful businessman with interests in hospitality, construction, and lottery operations.
