The Queen Mother of Sefwi Kanchiabo, Nana Afua Adomah II, has urged young people in the area to reject indecent lifestyles and dedicate themselves to building a secure and productive future.

Speaking at her outdooring as a Queen Mother of youth and community members in Sefwi Kanchiabo, Nana Afua Adomah II expressed concern over the rising influence of negative behaviors among adolescents and young adults. She said practices such as substance abuse, promiscuity, and indiscipline were undermining the moral values that have long held the community together.

The Queen Mother stressed that traditional authorities, parents, and guardians must work together to provide guidance and create opportunities that steer young people toward positive paths. She noted that without discipline and purpose, the community risked losing a generation to habits that limit progress and economic independence.
Residents present at the event welcomed the Queen Mother’s message, describing it as timely and necessary. Some youth leaders pledged to organize follow-up programs to keep the conversation going and to connect young people with skills training and mentorship opportunities within Sefwi Kanchiabo.
Nana Afua Adomah II concluded by reaffirming her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote youth development and preserve the cultural values of the Sefwi Kanchiabo community. She called on the youth to see themselves as key contributors to the area’s growth and to act in ways that would make their elders proud.
