Tension is mounting at Sefwi Dwenase Zongo in the Western North Region after Abigail, wife of an Immigration Officer, and her 1-year, 2-month-old baby were reported missing.

Family sources say Abigail has not been seen or heard from since yesterday as of 12:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2026, all calls placed to her phone by relatives and friends have gone unanswered, and the whereabouts of both mother and child remain unknown.
Amponsah Abigail, wife of a Ghana Immigration Service officer, and her toddler aged 1 year, 2 months has not yet found at Sefwi Dwenase Zongo, a suburb of Sefwi Wiawso.

Efforts to reach her have been unsuccessful. No trace of the pair has been found so far.Relatives have contacted friends, neighbors, and extended family, but without success.

The disappearance has sparked concern among residents, with youth groups in the area mobilizing to assist with searches. Local leaders are also sharing descriptions of Abigail and the baby across community WhatsApp platforms.

Sources indicate that the Immigration Service has been briefed, family is yet to file a complaint with the Sefwi Wiawso Divisional Police Command.

The family is pleading with the public to help locate Abigail and her child.
