Rainstorm Wears Havoc in Sefwi Aboagyekrom:  ABout 10 Houses Destroyed, One Person in Critical Condition

A severe rainstorm has hit Sefwi Aboagyekrom yesterday in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency, leaving about 10 houses homeless and causing significant damage to properties. One person is currently receiving treatment at Sefwi Asafo St. John of God hospital in critical condition.

The rainstorm’s impact on Sefwi Aboagyekrom highlights the need for increased awareness and preparedness for extreme weather events as leave near a deep forest,(Krokosue). Authorities have been urging residents to exercise caution during rainy periods, especially in areas prone to flooding.

NADMO officer, Mr Banabas Gyamfi has visited Sefwi Aboagyekrom to assess the damage caused by the rainstorm that left about houses homeless.

Mr. Gyamfi assured that necessary steps will be taken to provide comfort to the affected individuals, adding that the organization is working to provide immediate relief.

Appealing to philanthropists, Gyamfi pleaded for help to support the victims, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to mitigate the impact of disaster

“We are calling on well meaning individuals and organizations to come to the aid of our brothers and sisters affected by this unfortunate incident,he added.
