The Western North Regional branch of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) marked National Chocolate Day by sharing chocolates with inmates at Sefwi Wiawso and Sefwi Bekwai police cells. The event aimed to promote Ghana-made cocoa products and show appreciation for the inmates.
“We wanted to remind them they’re valued members of society,” said Kawme Bomassah, Western North Regional Director of GTA. The gesture was part of Valentine’s Day celebrations, highlighting the importance of local cocoa products.

Ghana Cocobod’s Western North Regional Administrator, Enock Ampofo, encouraged the inmates, while Sefwi Wiawso District Police Commander, Harlet Dove, thanked GTA for the gesture.
